Abstract

The main objective of ERIC was to adapt and transfer two Computer Based Training (CBT) Programmes for drivers to the Spanish, Polish and Austrian traffic and driving environment. *A revision of already existing similar educational tools in the four countries had to be carried out to analyze both their availability and quality. * The acceptance of the learning tools had to be tested in specific workshops and by enquiries of the workshop participants. * One of the main project targets was a set of recommendations for the transfer of learning tools especially for safety in the road transport sector. The project started on 2nd June 2008 with a planned time span of 18 months. Since there was a change regarding the composition of the consortium partnership - the first Austrian partner was substituted by FACTUM OHG - the project was prolonged to 24 months, and ended at 1st June 2010. DG MOVE granted 50% of the total project amount of 505.844.- Euros. (Author/publisher)
