Abstract

Mattisse (part of the QUARTET Plus EC project) and the Midlands Driver Information System are two very important projects in England which between them cover a large area and all aspects of the transport network in the centre of the country. This paper outlines the two projects and gives details of the experience gained from them. The integration of the two systems is also discussed. The systems also address the issue of integration between the urban and interurban areas of the transport network.
