Abstract

In order to show how the Tri-State regional planning commission has used data from the 1970-census, the region is briefly defined and its role as a census processing center is described. The region's experience so far with the journey-to-work and the Urban Transportation Planning Package (UTPP) is then discussed. Since the UTPP was not considered flexible enough for the Tri-State region, the ''worker file'' was developed, and a description of this set of records is included in this report.
