Abstract

The COMIS (COmmunication using MIllimeter wave Systems) demonstrator system is a functional prototype implementation of COMIS. A short range communication link operating in the 63-64 GHz band is being realized with the front-end based on MMMIC-technology (MilliMetre wave Monolithic Integrated Circuit). Communication is synchronised in a TDMA (Time Domain Multiple Access) scheme without fixed reference. Evaluation is performed with a number of transceivers in road traffic environment. Roadside as well as inter vehicle communication is evaluated. (A)
