Abstract

The effects of various incentive schemes on accepted risk levels in an operational game were studied in this investigation. All incentive schemes were found to reduce risk levels. Of particular theoretical interest is the finding that a longer period of damage- free performance to be met as the incentive contingency yielded a larger risk reduction effect.
