Abstract

The tests examined were: 1) ramp-step steer test, 2) reverse steer, 3) lane change (sinusoidal steer), and 4) pseudo-random steer. The results show that each test is capable of contributing useful information concerning the transient directional response of the vehicle in specific operating scenarios.
