Abstract

Methods and results in an experiment in Denmark concerned with the effects of police enforcement on traffic accidents are discussed. It is concluded that if enforcement should have any measurable influence on driver behaviour and traffic accidents the density of patrols should be higher than 1 patrol per 20 km of highway.
