Abstract

Analysis of 31 tests involving fresh cadavers as pedestrians pointed out that there is a risk of severe injuries at impact speed as low as 25 km/h as well in profile as in facing than in profile. The modification of the Citroen Visa shape which gives a simultaneous contact on the thigh and on the leg seems to change the head impact area on the bonnet but not the injuries.
