Abstract

This report is the outcome of The Expert Consensus Workshop which was held to review current available evidence on the risk factors for vascular events such as heart attack and stroke (including prior vascular events, diabetes, obesity, etc.) in the context of the risk to driving safety. Its purpose was to consider the application of this knowledge, aided by the expertise of workshop participants, to Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) medical standards and to advise on fitness to drive.
