Abstract

The paper presents an integrated framework aimed to provide real-time expert support to urban system planners in the optimization of mobility (private and public) while maintaining overall environmental efficiency (pollution, noise, energy, spatial interaction, etc.) above target "sustainable" limits (i.e. the urban capacities). Key aspects, related to the Expert Decision Support System and the Urban Status Updating System, are described. An application currently underway within the city of Terni is included. (A)
