Abstract

When in 1985 the Spanish Traffic Education Centre was founded no data were available concerning the exposure of Spanish children to accident risk as pedestrian. While these data were necessary, a system of data collection was used by which parents of 1000 children between 4 and 14 years old, were asked to report the traffic participation of their children. The first conclusions in this way of data collection are presented.
