Abstract

The choice of the basic assumptions for the calculation of external costs of goods traffic, has a large influence on the results of the calculation. A study on a differentiation of the external costs (between regions, goods categories, means of transport and built-up area or not built-up area) shows that the total costs as well as the differentiated costs can differ strongly.
