Extremity injuries produced in motor vehicle collisions.

Abstract

Extremity injuries are usually not fatal and are only infrequently life-threatening. Reliance on frequency data from post studies of injury causation, location and seriousness of injuries is hazardous. Periodic evaluation of safety features is needed to assess their injury reduction value.
