Abstract

The visual hazards and problems facing the motorist were the main themes of the conference. Visual problems involved in driving; wet weather conditions; eyes on the road and vehicle instrumentation; head-up display; the relationship between vision acuity and road accidents; optical instruments; personal visual problems of drivers; instrumentation for assisting drivers in reduced visibility conditions and visual perception are highlighted.
