Abstract

The Netherlands Economic Institute has developed the Forecasting of Air Pollution by Car Traffic Simulation (FACTS) 2.0 model. This model is the successor of the former GEBAK-model. FACTS differs from GEBAK in respect of methodology and modelling technique. With the FACTS computer model forecasts can be made on volume and composition of passenger cars, the yearly kilometrage, the fuel consumption by fuel type, the air pollution (various types), government income from interalia road taxes and excise duties.
