Fahrerassistenzsysteme (FAS) werden eingeordnet. Innovationen, die im Interesse der Verkehrssicherheit der besseren Bewaeltigung der Fahraufgabe dienen, sollten nachdruecklich unterstuetzt werden. Die Rolle des Kraftfahrers erfordert es, eine Grenzlinie fuer seine Verantwortung dort zu ziehen, wo ein System durch ihn gerade noch uebersteuerbar ist. Was diesem Massstab nicht gerecht wird, bedarf einer kritischen Wuerdigung bis hin zu der Notwendigkeit, Entwicklungsziele auf den Pruefstand zu stellen, um nicht an Akzeptanzfragen zu scheitern. Zu umfassender Akzeptanz gehoert der Ausgleich von Sicherheitsinteressen, Mobilitaet und Innovationsmoeglichkeit. FAS mit komplexen elektronischen Komponenten beinhalten ein erhebliches Entwicklungspotenzial fuer Mobilitaet, Verkehrssicherheit, Umwelt und Komfort und Prosperitaet. Selbstverpflichtungsaehnliche Modelle im Zulassungsrecht erscheinen dort akzeptabel, wo sie von internationaler Akzeptanz getragen sind. (A) ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH: The article classifies advanced driver assistance systems. Innovations which enhance road safety by enabling drivers to perform driving task better should be strongly supported. Given the role of the driver, it is essential that a line be drawn limiting his responsibility at the point where he can still override a system. A system that does not meet this benchmark requires critical appraisal, even going as far as the need for a thorough scrutiny of development objectives, if it is not be thwarted by issues relating to acceptance. Comprehensive acceptance includes the reconciliation of safety interests, mobility and innovative capacity. Advanced driver assistance systems, with their complex electronic components, contain significant development potential for mobility, road safety, the environment, comfort and prosperity. Models similar to self-commitments in vehicle registration law would appear to be acceptable where they enjoy international acceptance. (Author/publisher).
