Abstract

A total of 520 road crashes in western sydney, new south wales, australia, to which ambulances had been called, were attended by multidisciplinary teams in the period october 1976 to june 1977. The first quarterly report published provided information on procedures used and the case month period of the substantive study. The second quarterly report published the case histories of 96 crashes investigated, and in addition the procedure used to classify the contributing factors, in the second three month period. The third quarterly report published the case histories of 76 in-depth investigations which were initiated at the scene of crashes during the third month period of the study. This report contains 17 truck collisions which were omitted from the published second quarterly report together with case histories from the first quarterly report with the contributing factor classifications added.
