Abstract

A total of 520 road crashes in western sydney, new south wales, australia, to which ambulances had been called, were attended by multidisciplinary teams in the period october 1976 to june 1977. This third quarterly report publishes the case histories of 76 in-depth investigations which were initiated at the scene of crashes during the third three month period of the study. During this quarter 160 crashes were attended. Of these, 84 did not involve a pedestrian, pedal cycle, motorcycle, truck or bus and were not studied in-depth. The remaining 76 crashes, (26 pedestrians, 6 pedal cycles, 33 motorcycles, 18 trucks and nil buses) were subject to in-depth study and are reported here. This is the final of three quarterly reports. A project report follows the quarterly reports.
