Abstract

A fast- assembly bridge is a structure that can be rapidly procured, quickly assembled, and subsequently disassembled. The specific example was built to relieve congestion at a main intersection. Construction was completed in five weekend on a carefully controlled schedule to minimise traffic disruption. Methods and materials are described.
