Abstract

Fatal and injury accident data for 1968 compiled from 50 State of the U.S. are summarized in tables which present a year to year comparison of fatality rates, fatality and injury rates per 100 million vehicle miles, and which relate the fatality and injury data to vehicle registrations, populations and numbers of licensed drivers. A distinction is made between accidents happened in rural and urban areas.
