Abstract

Findings of an investigation of all fatalities in passenger car accidents occurring in Sweden in 1975, are presented. Factors considered are- single or multiple vehicle accidents, angle of impact, belt type, front or rear seat, time of year or week, day or night, age of driver, alcohol and background of drivers. The protective effect of seat belts is shown.
