The feasibility of a motorcycle daytime 'lights-on' regulation.

Author(s)

Abstract

This paper discusses some of the issues concerning the use of lights during the daytime by motorcycles. It is noted that, with certain provisions, it is possible to implement either a light usage regulation or a vehicle design rule to increase usage rates. Either regulation should prove an effective accident countermeasure with a high chance of being cost beneficial.
