Abstract

This report documents the findings of a U.S. study team that visited England, The Netherlands, and Germany. The purpose of the trip was to learn about practices and policies for improving pedestrian and bicyclist safety and promoting use of these modes. Topics covered included roadway facilities, educational and promotional programs, traffic enforcement issues, and relevant pedestrian and bicyclist safety research.
