Abstract

This paper describes the broad spectrum of techniques and approaches which have been applied by FHWA (Federal Highway Administration)in an attempt to bring leading edge technology information into the U.S. The paper also describes what programs are being undertaken as part of this effort to ensure the exchange of information with highway agencies and others abroad. It is realized to ensure the success of the International Technology Scanning Program that an effort needs to be placed on technology transfer/exchange outside the U.S. (A)
