Abstract

GM began a program of accident research and analysis whichgathered information from many sources. This introducedanother area of concern - the lack of common language andreporting uniformity of accident datu. A bi-level reportingovßurm structure was developed for interml use and has beenreleased to the public in an el'fort to consolidate the ra-pidly expanding accident data collection field. Also pre-sented ure some of he findings of the GM nationwide studybased on 2500 1968 model vehicles damaged in collisions.
