Abstract

This article analyses in dept the individual factors, which play a role in bicycle mechanics and ergonomics. Although this study is in the nature of a reconnaissance, the authors conclude already that ramps should start with a relatively steep gradient, decreasing towards the top. The initial visual impression causes the cyclist to use greater effort at the base of the ramp and thus reaching the top relatively easily.
