Abstract
The type of surfacing for recreational cycle tracks must be chosen by the following considerations: traffic (driving comfort, safety); cost of construction; durability and environment. Dependent of the use, priority must be given to one or more of these considerations. Concrete has the properties which fit in all these considerations. The design, construction and maintenance of concrete cycle tracks are discussed.
