Abstract
North and south of the van Brienenoord bridge matrices have been installed by which traffic can be warned for congestion. There are two measuring points at the southern side of the bridge and one at the northern side. By way of radio communication equipment a message is sent to the receiver, installed at the matrices, when by means of loop detectors a congestion is observed. The receiver can switch on and off the matrices.
