Finite element analysis of hydraulic hose couplings.

Abstract

This paper presents a finite element methodology and algorithm for predicting the deformation and stress response of high pressure hose couplings and components during the fabrication process and during service loading conditions. The method is demonstrated for a hydraulic cord- reinforced rubber hose coupling.
