Abstract

This paper describes how to decide what minor road changes are necessary at trouble apots to bring about the maximum reduction in accidents. A systematic investigation of the problem is necessary; this involves the selection of suitable locations for detailed studies, the determination of the improvements required, and the priorities of the possible alternatives.
