FIST - Finnish Information Services for Travelers - is a national program for those involved in traffic and travel information services with the purpose of promoting information services and their availability. The program is run by the Finnish Ministry of Transport and Communications. The FIST program functions as an umbrella over the projects and various task forces managed by actors in the program. Operating within the FIST program helps information transfer and encourages feedback. Through co-operation in the program actors can form shared views on the desirable development of travel and traffic information services. It is believed that shared views will lead to integrated information services enabling travelers to picture different means of transport and tourism services as a unit. (A)
