Abstract
This report examines the attitudes of 800 drivers and motorcycle riders towards driving while impaired by alcohol, drugs and fatigue; and government policies on road safety. The report is based on a survey of drivers and riders carried out by Brake volunteers, at a range of locations across the UK. Every effort was made to ensure that a wide variety of people responded. Repeating some questions from a survey carried out in 2003 by Brake and Green Flag has enabled some analysis of how driver attitudes and behaviour have changed over the intervening six-year period.
