Abstract

This paper reports on experiments with five different brands of child restraints and how these restraints compare in terms of location in a vehicle and fitting and attaching in front and rear seats. A comprehensive list of problems likely to be encountered due to vehicle design factors is presented. The report considers that close attention must be paid to the education of parents with respect to removal and re-installation of child restraints (includes child seats and harnesses). The number of the covering abstract of the conference is IRRD no 234342.
