Abstract

This short paper presents the objective of the Flemish transport policy. This is to create a multimodal transport corridor, linking the main ports and industrial areas in north-western Europe, i.e. the "Flemish European Main Transport Axis". Telematics are essential to achieve the goals of this policy. The existing and planned telematics systems on the Flemish part of the TERN are briefly discussed. (A)
