Abstract

A comprehensive treatment of the more important transportation models is provided and the gap between abstract graph theory and the application of network analysis to large transportation networks is bridged. The increasing role of computer algorithms are recognized and emphasized. Those models and algorithms which warrant long-term interest are selected.
