Abstract

This book deals with the resistance of bodies in air and in water. Each chapter begins with the theory and usually includes valuables references. Many diagrams, tables and curves are included. Most of the information concerns aircraft of some kind, but there are also chapters on boat resistance and on the drag of cars, trains and motorcycles. Of special interest are the chapters entitled "Windforces on structures and "Land-borne vehicles."
