Abstract

When air containing water vapour becomes super saturated the water condenses out into the form of small suspended droplets which absorb and scatter light thus reducing visible distance and degrading visibility. This report is a review of fog and its effect on road traffic. A complete solution to the problem of driving in fog has not yet been found. Some of the solutions that have been suggested or have been tried and found to be partially successful are described briefly.
