Abstract

Although it is not possible to make highly reliable forecasts of growth in the number of vehicles, it is necessary for planning purposes that forecasts be made. The paper gives such forecasts for the next 45 years for the number of cars, motorcycles, agricultural tractors and other vehicles in Great-Britain, both as numbers per head of population and as absolute numbers.
