Abstract

Forensic engineering is a relatively new term; the more familiar term is expert witness. The word forensic is an adjective that means that the work has been prepared in a manner suitable for presentation in court. Forensic engineering applies the principles of science and engineering to investigations which are part of or potentially a part of, some legal process.
