Abstract

Blood glucose, pyruvate and lactate concentrations have been investigated under controlled alcoholsemia. Pyruvate lactate index after alcohol decreased from 0.05-0.06 to 0.02. These changes can be explained as anexemic alcohol influence, most probably due to decreased hepatic cell redex potential.
