Abstract

The objectives of this study were (1) to make a complete inventory and traffic evaluation of the arterial and collector streets and major intersections in West Lafayette Indiana, (2) to determine the cost of eliminating the deficiencies in the major street system at five-year intervals over a twenty year period, and (3) to evaluate the use of sampling techniques as applied to this needs study to determine whether reliable cost estimates can be obtained.
