Abstract
The common purpose of many of the research proposals listed is to add to the existing knowledge also the capacity of children to manage various situations in traffic. Proposals are presented, which should all on essential points expand the basis for the efforts to improve children's conditions in traffic. Guidelines must be given for planning of streets, traffic systems and land use, so as to makes it inevitable to include the concern for children's safety and security in the planning process.
