Abstract

The management of facial fractures in children is made difficult by the hazards of altering normal bone growth and tooth development. 37 cases have been reviewed at the University of Pennsylvania. The various methods of managing fractures of the facial bones in children are discussed, with emphasis on the mandible. 11 of these children were involved in a car accident and 5 fell from their bicycle.
