Abstract
This paper reports on an evaluation framework developed by Brighton & Hove Council relating to their 'Safer Routes to School' programme. The aim of this evaluation was to help understand how parents perceive the safety aspects of the journey to school. These schemes aim to change parents attitudes & contribute to a reduction in car use & an increase in the number of children walking or cycling to school.
