Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyse criteria susceptible of causing driver's deceleration when approaching intersections. Statistical analysis of data states the preponderant influence of dynamic constraint compared to the role of traffic regulations, changements of vehicle direction and engine power seem to have a major effect on speeds at intersections, as well as recorded traffic.
