Abstract

Component of the travel time within the corridor are examined by a combination of experimental and analytical techniques. A driver information on the frontage road was evaluated, and a dynamically responsive ramp metering technique was discussed. The use of traffic flow measurements from the electronic surveillance system to locate capacity-reducing incidents on the freeway is described.
