Abstract
Lapses of attention and reduction in traction are among the areas of accident potential revealed by a computer simulation of plattoon driving on freeways. Each of the simulated vehicles is controlled by a desired condition and acceleration equations. By varying the human factors data in these equations, the extremes of driver behavior may be examined. The simulation contains certain elementary skills.
