Abstract

The influences of seat belt characteristics and deceleration modes of seat belt anchorages on dummy motion were studied. A simple scheme limited to the central part of the body, which is assumed to be a concentrated mass, connected to the vehicle by means of a belt with given deformation characteristics, was used.
