Abstract

This paper summarises the results of further motor cycle air bag feasibility research. This programme was a sequel to earlier tests and analyses reported in 1991 by the International Motorcycle Manufacturers Association (IMMA). This research involved methodology development, cadaver tests, computer analysis and simulation, as well as laboratory and full scale impact and non-impact air bag tests. Results, conclusions and recommendations are presented. (A)
