Abstract

The discussion centres on U.S. Dept. of Transportation work to improve comfort and convenience of seat belt systems and "warning" systems designed to increase belt use. Also included are details of a nationwide educational effort to improve the general level of acceptance of safety belts. Passive restraint systems are also discussed.
